Tea Stall Near Tree

Art Traditional Art

Did this quick 15 mins lunchtime sketch today. There are a number of makeshift tea and snack stalls (taparies) near the office complex where I work. Most of the office workers prefer these to the canteen food, and business is always thriving.

As I was sketching this stall from across the street, few people gathered to watch. Then they got all excited and called the tea stall owner to watch. He was so excited that I sketched his stall, that he brought tea for me, and refused to accept money for it. He said, “You have honored me by sketching my stall. How can I take money from you!”. I promised to give him a copy of this sketch next week.
