The Perfect Partner – A new webcomic from my stable

Today I present to you a new webcomic I have started on. It’s a funny take on the relationship between a video game loving husband and his nagging wife, and is aptly named ‘The Perfect Partner’. You will know why once you read ahead.

I will post this web comic one page at a time on this blog, as and when the pages get completed (which means I am just too lazy to work on a deadline).

So without mincing more words, here we goooooooooooooo….

‘The Contract’ is published

My first independent graphic novel, The Contract has been uploaded on the website www.pothi.com. Pothi.com provides ‘print-on-demand’ service, i.e. the book is printed after it’s ordered, rather than the other way round as in traditional publishing.

This graphic novel is intended for mature audience only.

Below is the cover page of ‘The Contract’ followed by a few preview pages (Warning: NSFW material)

Steve is a very ordinary guy, with very ordinary dreams (like reaching his school on time and making out with a hot girl in his class). But one bad day in his life turns his world upside down.

Now Steve is out on a suicidal mission of revenge, when he encounters a mysterious being. The mysterious being offers Steve something he had never dreamed before, and which would make his revenge so much sweeter.

Steve will go to any lengths to have his revenge. Little does he realize that every dream has a price!

This book is intended for mature audiences only.

The preview below contains pages 1-5 and 12-14.

The Replacement finds a home

ComixIndia.com, a comics enthusiasts site had invited entries for a comics anthology (collection of stories from various authors/artists). I sent my story ‘The Replacement‘ for inclusion in the anthology.

Now the comics anthology (including The Replacement) is complete and ready to be published on Pothi.com, a print-on-demand site. This means the physical book will be printed and delivered to the person who ordered it once an order is placed. No physical copy will exist until ordered.

This anthology will be published some time in the month of Feb 2010.

More information about the comics anthology can be found here.

COMIXINDIA.COM Volume 1 – Random Selection

An announcement for all budding and wannabe comics authors/artists.

Comixindia.com (a comics enthusiast site) and Pothi.com (A self publishing print-on-demand site) annonced at the end of Nov 2009 about a magazine, COMIX.INDIA VOLUME 1 – RANDOM SELECTION.

The magazine is introduced to publish an anthology of sorts of independent comics creators in India.

The following are guidelines for submission

1. A4 size, black and white, at least 20 pages, at most 40 pages each.

2. Scanned / created digitally at 300 DPI and above.

3. Any topic (that’s why it’s called Random Selection)

Due to the inherent nature of Print-on-demand, there’s no up-front monetory investment on the part of authors. The magazine copies will be printed physically only when somebody orders (and pays for) them.

The deadline for submissions is 31st Dec 09. So if you are interested to be in this project, you can check out the site comixindia.com.

I have already submitted my story ‘The Replacement’ for this issue.

The below picture is a sample cover for this anthology, and the actual cover page will greatly differ (actually, it will have no resemblance to this page whatsoever)
