I drew this pic from a picture of a beautiful Jamaican resort in a travel magazine. First I completed the black and white pen art using 0.2, 0.5 and 0.8 fine point pens …
… followed by water color.
Did a painting in watercolors after a loooong time. This one is done with watercolors first, and enhanced a bit with watercolor pencils. The final texture was added through fine point pens.
I came across this nude photo while browsing an anatomy book. It was a woman’s color photo. I thought it was quite a challenge to convert it into a B&W pen sketch with lot of textures. Here’s the final result of a 2 hour sketch. Fine point pens 0.2, 0.5 and 0.8 on hand made paper.
I had bought this showpiece a few years ago in Goa. It’s made from shells and corals. I found the textures quite interesting, and it was an ideal subject for pen and ink drawing. Drawn with 0.2, 0.5 and 0.8 finepoint pens on hand made paper. Drawing time 1 hour.
This sketch was done when I stopped on my way home from office. I was parked at the roadside waiting for my friend, when I saw this interesting scenery. Drawn using file point pens on drawing book paper.
I was in an auditorium for a program a couple of days ago. I reached there a bit early. Quickly sketched out the rough layout within 10 mins I was outside the auditorium, and finished it the next day in my leisure time. Ball point pen on drawing paper.
Today I had parked on the side of this road. The time was noon. The streets were quiet. It had just rained very lightly. The building compound on my left side had an interesting construction, which I set to draw. A group of laborers were resting in the shadow of the compound. Drew this using the fine point pens 0.2, 0.5 and 0.8.
This pic is from imagination. Used various Pigma Micron Fine point pens(0.2, 0.5 and 0.8). Total penciling + inking time = approx 2 hrs.
Yesterday I was sitting at an eatery in a mall. Just in front of me was this small snacks shop. While I was waiting for my order to arrive (and till 10 minutes after it arrived), I drew this small sketch of the snacks shop. Ball point pens on hand made paper, 15 minutes.
Drew this aloe vera plant in my terrace garden using Pigma Micron Pigment pens sizes 0.2, 0.5 and 0.8. The alo vera plan is a very interesting combination of very dry base and very fresh and juicy leaves. This presents a great opportunity of varying textures in a single picture.
Drew this for testing some new pigment liner pens I bought today on hand made paper.
